2-Amino-3-Hydroxypyridine is used as a precursor for hair colours. 2-Amino-3-Hydroxypyridine reacts with primary intermediates to form the final dye-stuff. The reaction can be accelerated by addition of an oxidizing agent (e.g. hydrogen peroxide), but can also be achieved by air oxidation.

Usage:

2-Amino-3-Hydroxypyridine is used as a precursor for hair colours. 2-Amino-3-Hydroxypyridine reacts with primary intermediates to form the final dye-stuff.
