p-Aminophenol is the organic compound with the formula H₂NC₆H₄OH. Typically available as a white powder, p-Aminophenol is commonly used as a developer in black and white film, marketed under the name Rodinal.

Reflecting the slight hydrophilic character of p-Aminophenol, the white powder is moderately soluble in alcohols and can be recrystallised from hot water. In the presence of base, p-Aminophenol oxidizes readily. The N-Methyl and N,N-Simethyl derivatives are of commercial value.

p-Aminophenol is used as intermediate for Paracetamol (Analgesic), p-Aminophenol is also used for 4-Aminosalicylic Acid (Tuberculostatic), sulphur dyes, rubber antioxidant, photo developer.
